Thai media and digital investment firm TCG Social Media Group has publicly announced a major strategic move to acquire the rights to the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) with an offer valued at 3.5 billion baht.

During a press briefing in Bangkok, TCG expressed its readiness to submit the acquisition proposal to the administrators overseeing MUO’s current restructuring process. The company’s bid aims to secure the rights and management control of the global pageant organization, marking a notable development for Thailand’s presence in international media and entertainment.
Backed by a consortium of international investors, TCG’s proposal comes as part of efforts to resolve ongoing legal and financial challenges surrounding MUO’s ownership. The company is set to engage with Grant Thornton, which is handling negotiations and oversight for the potential transfer of rights.
If successful, the acquisition would position TCG as a key player in the global pageant industry and potentially open new opportunities for expanding MUO’s reach. The outcome of the offer is expected to be determined through formal discussions with stakeholders and the restructuring team.
